Construction Developments at the University
General Information
With its new and exciting research projects and wide range of degree programs, Hochschule Geisenheim University is constantly evolving. The same applies to our campus, which is currently undergoing some substantial changes, including the development of five new buildings. Some of these buildings have already been completed, while others are still in the process of being constructed.
- The Food Safety Building and the Logistics and Sustainability Building were put into operation in December 2023. The new Lecture Hall Building has been completed and put in operation in December 2024.
- In its final construction phase is the Beverage Technology Center which should both be completed in spring 2025.
- Construction is in full swing for the Viticulture Adaptation Center for Sustainability and Climate Change (VITA). Tjis is set for completion end of 2026.

Logistics and Sustainability Building
New building comprising teaching rooms, labs, and offices for the Food Chain Management degree program.
Food Safety Building
New building for the Food Safety degree program, with labs, teaching rooms and offices.
Lecture Hall Building
Lecture hall building with a 657-seat auditorium and four seminar rooms on the upper floor seating 300 more.
Beverage Technology Center (GTZ)
Building with a production hall, teaching and practice-related rooms, offices, and sparkling wine production facilities for the wine and beverage teaching programs.
