The Proferssorship for Wine and Beverage Chemistry is responsible for various courses in the B.Sc. Beverage Technology, Viticulture & Enology and International Wine Business programs. With modules ranging from raw materials, water as well as wine and beverage chemistry, the professorship covers the entire process chain from raw ingredients to the final product. It combines theoretical course content with hands-on experience. By working in small groups, students acquire essential knowledge and practical skills. With our research infrastructure including wet chemical and analytical instruments (such as ion chromatography), we address practical questions concerning raw materials and process-related changes in wine, water, fruit juice, beer and other beverages.
