Committee for Research & Development (FuEAus)

In place of a faculty council the Committee for Research and Development (FuE Ausschuss) of Hochschule Geisenheim University is responsible for all scientific matters according to §44 of the Hessian Higher Education Act. This includes proposals for new research topics and projects, formulating terms of use for research facilities as well as decisions for investment into infrastructure and grants for internal research projects. Moreover, this committee comments on target agreements of the University or on appointments of new professors.

Members of this committee are elected in the senate. The committee is headed by the Vice President Research and consists of eleven members: six professors, four scientists, including one PhD student and one administrative / technical employee. The officer of research affairs is an additional advisory member of the committee, unless among the elected members.
