The Center for Digitalization and IT Services is the central unit of the university that brings together all departments and offices responsible for the digital transformation of Hochschule Geisenheim University. In detail, these include the IT Service Center, the IT Application Management and In-house Consulting department, and the IT Basic Services and Data Center department. These departments provide advice on the IT services offered, ensure the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure and all services, and provide support for all users.
The Center for Digitalization and IT Services is headed by the Chief Information Officer (CIO), whose responsibilities include the development and implementation of the IT strategy and IT governance. He is supported by a Project Management / Digital Transformation Office, which is also involved in the implementation of digitization projects.
