K3 IT/Data Center operates the central information and telecommunication infrastructure at Hochschule Geisenheim University. The tasks are divided into the following areas:
The Central Server Services provide both university-wide and departmental systems. Responsibilities include maintenance and availability of the systems as well as protection of the systems and data in accordance with the security guidelines (see also: >Data protection supervisor).
The Network Operation Center (NOC) plans, expands and monitors the network infrastructure on the campus.
