Admissions Office

The Admissions Office (studierendenbuero(at)hs-gm.de) provides advice and assistance in all administrative matters and is responsible for:

  • Key administrative processes regarding your program
  • University entrance qualifications
  • Applications
  • Enrollment and de-registration
  • Semester fees and re-registration
  • Change of students personal data (e.g. change of address)
  • applications for leave of absence and part-time studies
  • Approval of pre-study internships

Study Organization & Examinations Office

The Study Organization and Examinations Office (short: “StoP”, pruefungsverwaltung(at)hs-gm.de) is your first source of information for any questions about exams, degree program timelines, curricula and recognition of credits and achievements.

In particular, the team is responsible for:

  • Information on examinations
  • Degree program timelines, modules and curricula
  • Grades and results
  • Assessment regulations
  • Recognition of achievements and credits gained in previous programs
  • Registration for thesis and colloquium (final oral exam)
  • Issuing certificates and transcripts of records
  • Examination schedules and registration periods

General Student Advisory Service

The General Student Advisory Service (studienberatung(at)hs-gm.de) provides advice and support on the following subjects:

  • Choosing the right degree program
  • Settling into university life
  • What to do if you are having doubts about your choice of program
  • Where to find help in difficult times

We want to provide (prospective) students with the best possible support to help them settle into university life and complete their studies successfully. Each counseling session focuses on your individual questions and takes place in a confidential setting.

Career Service

Our Career Service provides information on the following subjects:

  • Career prospects and qualification
  • Start of your career
  • Establishing contacts to local and international employers
  • Starting your own business
  • Networking

Language Center

The Language Center () offers a number of language courses (including German as a foreign language) for our students. Here are our top reasons for learning a foreign language at Hochschule Geisenheim University:

Our Services on the Second Floor

International Office

The International Center (international(at)hs-gm.de) supports Geisenheim’s international academic activities

In particular, the team provides advice and support for:

  • international applicants regarding study opportunities, admission requirements and application procedures.
  • international students during their stay at Hochschule Geisenheim University.
  • exchange students about our European and worldwide partner universities.
  • university students who would like to spend time at one of our partner universities or do an internship abroad during their studies.
  • doctoral candidates, scientists, and other employees of the university who are planning to go abroad

In addition, we establish and promote relationships with partner universities and continually expand our academic cooperations. We also coordinate international support programs and exchange programs for students, staff and teachers (for example Erasmus+, Promos, Hessen-Program).
