On March 18 and 19, 2019 the EMaVE-Consortium (European Master of Viticulture and Enology) held a meeting at Hochschule Geisenheim University. Representatives from many renowned European universities for viticulture, enology and wine business also used the meeting to conduct selection interviews with applicants for the Vinifera EuroMaster (M.Sc.) program, which is in its 13th year. On the previous Saturday, the graduation ceremony was held for eight graduates from the 12th year.
The eight graduates were from eight countries, strongly underlining the internationality of the program as well as its high regard, also outside Europe. The degree program was well-received when it was presented as part of "Wine and Market with Focus" at ProWein 2019, during a visit by the graduates, together with program representatives and alumni, on March 17, 2019. The young graduates had numerous networking opportunities during visits to companies from the EMaVE partner countries, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany.
The trade-fair visit was rounded off with an international get-together at Hochschule Geisenheim University's stand in Hall 14, where the Vinifera graduates had the chance to mingle with alumni from other Geisenheim bachelor and master programs at an alumni meeting organized by Geisenheim's alumni association, VEG.
