Financial Support for the Production of Digital Teaching and Study Courses

Funding of 20,000 euros per project is currently available as part of the joint project on "Digital-based teaching and learning in Hesse" (digLL) which aims to support the development of digital teaching and study courses.

Background:

As part of the project, a webportal is being set up to facilitate the exchange of digital teaching and study materials for all stages of a degree course. Financial support will be provided for the digital-based teaching and study courses that are to be developed for the platform.

Main focus of the funding and procedure:

The focus of the funding is on the development of digital-based teaching and study opportunities as courses or part of the lectures featured on the curricula of the participating universities. Also eligible for funding are existing projects in which digital teaching and study courses are being developed further or those that are to be made accessible as Open Educational Resources (OER). All of these courses must be published under a CC licence (CC BY-SA 4.0, CC BY 4.0 or CC 0).

All institutions of higher education in Hesse involved in digLL may apply. Only those projects in which lecturers from at least two participating universities are cooperating on the drafting or utilization of the prepared materials will be funded. The application must be made by the respective university administration. The decision will be made by the digLL Steering Committee. Local eLearning offices will assist the applicants in implementing the projects.

Scope and duration of the funding:

Maximum funding per project is 20,000 euros over a funding period lasting until December 31, 2020. The funding will cover personnel, equipment (including licence fees) and travel costs. The closing date for applications in January 15, 2020. The Steering Committee will convene to discuss the applications on February 10, 2020. The funding period is from March 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020.

Application:

Aapplications must include a brief summary of the planned teaching and study courses, general information, a description of the project and a financial plan.
