Thomas Muschkullus, M.Sc. successfully defended his doctoral thesis titled "Dealing with the complexity of large scale infrastructure projects" on December 9th, 2022 at Hochschule Geisenheim University.
The Doctorate was supervised by Professor Dr. Eckhard Jedicke, Department of Landscape Planning and Nature Conservation, Hochschule Geisenheim University.
The doctoral thesis was jointly evaluated together with Univ.-Professor Dr.-lng. Wolfgang Dickhaut, Department Civil Engineering, HafenCity Universität Hamburg, and
Professor Dr.-Ing. Volker Blees, Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. Progress is conveyed by the work for the achievement of societal goals such as greater consideration of nature conservation goals and yet legally secure and accelerated planning of large transport projects. Muschkullus proposes the use of system architects to coordinate the extremely complex planning processes.
