Can maths help us make a better cup of coffee? Yes, indeed! Because each of the coffee making processes, such as grinding and roasting, are science-driven. Great taste and subtle flavors are not a coincidence but rather the result of mathematical models. In cooperation with PROBAT, the world market leader in coffee processing plants, Hochschule Geisenheim University simulated the very complex coffee roasting process and was able to identify solutions to improve the process.
