But if you prefer hard facts you should have a look at the ProWein Business Report – a unique market indicator for the international wine industry. On behalf of ProWein, Prof. Dr. Simone Loose, Head of the Department of Wine and Beverage Business, polls experts each year to assess the current challenges of the wine industry. We would also like to share a nice little example of solidarity at local level: The Rheingau Weinwerbung GmbH offered Ukrainian winegrowers the chance to showcase their work at their booth for one day. Consul General Iryna Shum and our Ukrainian colleague Andrii Tarasov from our Department of Enology were also present to learn more about three Ukrainian winegrowers who showcased 20 wines from different Ukrainian wineries which traveled a long way from the war zone via Romania, Italy and the Ukrainian Consulate in Düsseldorf to finally arrive at the trade fair.
